The show's name "Kurosagi" is a play-on to the main character's name Kurosaki. Kurosagi literally means "Black Swindler" in Japanese.
Based on manga series "Kurosagi" written by Takeshi Natsuhara & illustrated by Kuromaru (published from November 13, 2003 to July 29, 2013 in magazine Weekly Young Sunday & in magazine Big Comic Spirits).
Shirosagi are white swindlers who trick people to take their money. Akasagi are red swindlers who trick the opposite sex and play with their minds and bodies. Kurosagi are black swindlers who feed on shirosagi and akasagi.
