In this Lupin III adventure, Lupin must return 6 different treasures that were stolen by Mark Williams... Mark Williams...the actor who plays Mr. Weasley? The center for the Charlotte Hornets? Yeah, sure. Once Lupin returns all of William's ill-gotten gains he will be rewarded with the "Twist Diamond".
This Lupin adventure gives the crew some good villains to go up against. Basically, every member of the gang has their own personal rival to deal with.
The comedy of Lupin returning lost relics as opposed to stealing them is quite amusing.
The movie does feel a bit repetitive, almost like a video game. Lupin must return 6 items escape jail 3 times then he can get the piece of the TriForce and save the princess.
At least he is given a cool cut scene at the end for his troubles. The ending battle is where things come together, and it makes for a pretty entertaining finale.
Much like the MacGuffin of the film, this film is a pretty diamond with a twist.

So in this film Lupine wants to meet an old friend Mark But he finds out from Fujiko Mark it's a lot but before he dies he wanted to do what ruppentesso had to make him a last wish or to bring back six things that he had actually stolen Apple cuts the opposite original to succeedfind out Where is the big Diamond So what do I think about this Lupine III movie also this movie came out to convince me to like it because this time in this movie Lupine doesn't steal things but brings back to their original place which was a good thing all to do an old lady a favora lot that is no longer there and it was truly a beautiful thing if you are a fan of Lupine I advise you to get it again I have to see it with subtitles to conclude the rating 8.

Beautiful Lupin film. If there's something that doesn't go unnoticed in Lupin films is the environment, especially in this one. Takes place in Barcelona with all Gaudi's masterpieces and Sagrada familia. But before that, we also see all places of the world and their monuments. I've been to Barcelona and they really captured it well.
One funny thing is that Lupin quest is to take back stolen treasures instead of stealing them in this one. Drawings are great, lots of action. Characters are great too with Fujiko doing the triple game. This time, the treasure is something that cannot be stolen. Honestly this is a really great Lupin film, definitely one to watch.

After pulling a heist at a Moscow Casino, Lupin and Jigen went to visit Mark Williams. An old thief that Lupin knew well. Only to find that Mark has past away recently. Lupin and Jigen then went to Mark's estate to find the Trick Diamond. Which wasn't there. That Diamond is a key to opening the secret treasure of Gaudí's famous "Park Gruell".
However they were met by Fujiko who showed them a prerecord message from Mark when he was still alive. Mark tells Lupin that if he could replace 6 of the items with the copies, Mark had stolen then he'll find the Trick Diamond. But Lupin has 7 days to accomplish this request.
So Lupin accepts the request and receives a digital camera from Fujiko so he could take a picture of each item in it's original place.
The adventure begins as Lupin travels throughout Europe to return the treasures to their rightful places. But there is a man named Rats who wants that Diamond for himself. So he hires some hit men to hunt down Lupin's gang and try to kill them. But it'll take more than that to stop Lupin from doing a favor for a deceasist friend.
Operation: Return the Treasure is a pretty good Lupin the 3rd TV special. The animation is very similar to "Episode 0: The First Contact". And the story is unique with action, humor, realistic scenery, and never a dull moment.
It's another yet to be in English Lupin title. You're able to see it only in fan subs at the moment.
