One of my favorite indie horror releases of the 2015, We Are Still Here is making its way to Blu-ray and DVD just in time for Halloween:
Press Release: A tragic death leaves a married couple devastated, but their misery soon turns into mortal fear in the thoroughly haunting new film We Are Still Here. The Dark Sky Films/Mpi theatrical release, from the producers of The House of the Devil and Cheap Thrills, comes to Blu-ray and DVD on October 6, 2015. We Are Still Here is an atmospheric, classically constructed haunted house story, but with modern, heightened tension and action. After their teenage son Bobby is killed in a car crash, Paul and Anne Sacchetti move to an isolated 19th-century house in the New England countryside to try to start a new life. But soon the grieving couple begin to sense they are not alone in the old house. The Sacchettis'...

Here it is, folks. No more waiting and no need to cruise around to other parts of the deep, dark Internet. We've got Night of the Pumpkin for you right here in its goopy, seed-filled entirety!
Earlier this week we gave you the heads up on Sideshow Pictures' horror/comedy short Night of the Pumpkin. Unfortunately all we could show then was a shot of the director and star jack o'lantern until the official Internet-wide release. Well, gourdhounds, that release date is upon us, and all you have to do is scroll down to get your pumpkin on!
Synopsis:
It’s All Hallow’s Eve, and geeky Steve and his buddy Cutter are holding a séance in the local cemetery. While foolishly toying with the dark forces of nature, they summon the soul of an ancient demon that possesses their jack o’lantern, which promptly goes on a carnivorous rampage.

The other day, we told you about a Halloween short (here) coming to you called Night of the Pumpkin. Well, your wait is over as the fine people at Sideshow Pictures has given us the film.
Night of the Pumpkin is directed by Frank Sabatella (Blood Night: The Legend of Mary Hatchet) and written by Ted Geoghegan (Sweatshop, Barricade)
It’s All Hallow’s Eve, and geeky Steve and his buddy Cutter are holding a seance in the local cemetery. While foolishly toying with the dark forces of nature, they summon the soul of an ancient demon that possesses their Jack O’ Lantern, which promptly goes on a carnivorous rampage! As the demonic gourd terrorizes the entire town, it grows larger and larger with every human soul it consumes! Now it is up to Steve to stop the monster pumpkin before it destroys his neighborhood and devours the woman he loves!

If the candy and the costumes and the fact that it's the only time of the year you can scatter bones in your front yard without having the neighbors alert the authorities aren't enough for you to look forward to Halloween, here's a new reason: Sideshow Pictures is promising to deliver a great short film each year, just in time for the holiday ... and the first one, Night of the Pumpkin, is ready to launch.
From reading the synopsis, the film sounds like some kind of splattery combination of Witchboard and Rubber (yeah…wrap your minds around that one). What we can guarantee is plenty of blood along with a gruesome growing gourd with nothing but bad intentions. Okay, I'm curious.
For those who want to join me in checking out this marauding jack-o-lantern, head over to Fangoria.com on October 25 and get your free viewing of the film. After...

15 Till Midnight is more than just my bedtime during the work week. It’s also the title of an upcoming horror/sci-fi movie that has rounded out its cast with up-and-coming genre actors who are ready to prove their worth in front of the camera.

The lead females are Andrea Chen, a relative newcomer to film who has been active in the NYC theatre scene and is currently in the Emerging Artists Production of "Silencing Ning", who is portraying "Sera", and Devanny Pinn (Piranha 3-D, Scream Queen Campfire, Orgy of Blood). Devanny is also one of the co-hosts of the Women in Horror Awards and has been heading up the "Bleed for Haiti with the Horror Community" blood drive.

We've been telling you about Chris Warren's Imago for quite a long time now. We've shown you stills, gotten you quotes, etc. Finally a trailer has reared its head and things are looking pretty good for this indie effort starring a couple of familiar faces.

Are werewolves the new zombies? Well, with the recent success of Zombieland, zombies are still the new zombies. But every few years, we seem to be subjected to a spate of werewolf projects. We’ve got the troubled remake of the Wolf Man coming up with Benicio del Toro, for one thing. Vampire fiction seems practically overrun with werewolves as side characters or enemies. The cult reputation of the Ginger Snaps trilogy continues to grow. And the low budget horror scene has a bit of full moon fever, with Beast- ahem, Timo Rose’s Beast...

Three new stills have come our way -- from another dimension -- for Chris Warren's upcoming indie effort Imago, and we figured we'd share because you, dear readers ... are the wind beneath our wings.

Germany’s Timo Rose gave Fango the exclusive first look at the latest trailer for his new gorefest Game Over (see it below), and shared the news about his next project, Karl The Butcher Vs. Axe, which reteams him with fellow Teutonic terrorizer Andreas Schnaas. Game Over stars Fangoria Radio’s Debbie Rochon (pictured), Raine Brown from Rose’s Barricade and Nicola Fiore as three American friends who are kidnapped and tortured when the latter two visit Rochon’s character in Germany.
Go here to read Rose and Rochon’s comments on Game Over, which has a MySpace presence here. As for Karl The Butcher Vs. Day Three
On Sunday I tried to make it to the Vindication panel to see writer/director Bart Mastronardi and his cast, but just couldn’t do it as I had NewFest commitments. Later I did race from NewFest (in Chelsea) to the con to catch the Vindication screening. I got there about 10 minutes late, but the room was standing room only. I’ve already seen the film, so I’m glad my butt wasn’t taking a seat from someone who hasn’t seen this really f-ing awesome film. Keep an eye out in this blog for more info and interviews from the cast and crew in the near future.

The producers of the new sci-fi shocker Braincell gave Fango the exclusive first look at the movie’s trailer; check it out below the cut. The preview features a nice amount of blood, and also a bit of skin, so it ain’t work-safe!
Directed by Alex Birrell and lensed in Liverpool, England and Naples, Italy, Braincell (which we last covered here) stars Raine Brown as a young woman who discovers horrifying experiments with violent results taking place at a university where her uncle (Joe Zaso, also one of the producers) is a professor. Darkness Surrounds Roberta’s Eileen Daly, Necroville’s Billy Garberina and Colour From The Dark’s Eleanor James co-star; the music is by Marco Werba, who’s also scoring Dario Argento’s new Giallo. “There’s a lifetime’s worth of horror-film watching in Braincell,” Birrell tells us, and Zaso adds, “It’s a very savage...

Today Cetus Productions released their feature film Craig - the story about a young quiet man turning serial killer in despair.
The film is directed by Actor/Director Kim Sønderholm who also plays the lead as Craig. The film is his debut as a director. It has been described as something as odd as an artsy horror slasher with depth and atmosphere - drama, blood, murder, a dark underworld with plenty of gorgeous undressed women on the way and our favorite and yours...Llyod Kaufman.
Supporting Sønderholm on the acting side is, among others - Lloyd Kaufman (playing an obscure part as the god inside Craig's mind), Manoush (Barricade, Amelie from Montmatre), Merete van Kamp (Osterman Weekend, Dallas), Jan Tjerrild (Westbrick Murders, Brutal Incasso), Christa Møller Nielsen and last but not least Danish pin-up models Sarah Louise Christensen and Jenni Lykke Olsen.
This independent film is now available from the website www.
