It's so funny when men wear dresses and the best thing about when Tyler Perry does it, is that it's not a sin. See when Tyler Perry puts on a pair of purple, ruffled panties, it's only to bring people closer to the Lord. Plus he's also dressed as an unattractive, elderly fat woman, so you know it's not a sexual thing. So unlike say Ru Paul or your random Marilyn Monroe impersonator he's not going to hell, because he's cross dressing for Jesus. When Madea Goes To Jail hits theaters in a few weeks, you'll be able to sit back and force yourself to be amused at his preachy sense of humor mixed with thinly veiled proselytizing, guilt free while imagining Milton Berle burning in hell. Everything feels uplifting and safe when Tyler Perry does it. So praise be! Watch five new clips from Madea Goes To Jail right...

There are two sides to Madea Goes to Jail, and pretty much every other Tyler Perry movie. There's the slapstick comedy, in which a crazy old lady or anyone, really, falls off something, beats someone up or wields a firearm. Then there's the Christian, soul food side, where everyone comes together in harmony and learns a lesson about being better to one another. Luckily, the new TV spot for Madea Goes to Jail focuses on the slapstick side of things. For 60 seconds Madea crashes a car, shoots people at a party, and gets into a prison fight. The movies comes out February 20; check out the TV spot below.

The teaser trailer for Madea Goes to Jail which played in theaters a few months ago made the movie look like Earnest Goes to Jail. For the first time in my life, I actually considered seeing a Madea movie willingly. Those feelings of vague interest in slapstick comedy are gone now, washed away by the film's first full trailer over at Yahoo. Gone are the wacky prison hijinks, replaced by more of Tyler Perry's preachy morality and warm, soul-filling music. Madea goes to prison yes, but while she's there she teaches troubled women the right way to live. Of course you have to wonder what business she has preaching to others when she herself is so violent she had to be tossed behind bars for the safety of others. Great role model there Mr. Perry. I've gotta be honest, I have never seen so much as a trailer for one of Tyler Perry's movies so I'm probably as qualified to talk about him as a chimp fingering his own ass, but this thing sounds like such a steaming pile it's insane. Here is the synopsis for Madea Goes To Jail: After a high-speed freeway chase puts Madea (Tyler Perry) in front of the judge, her reprieve is short-lived as anger management issues get the best of her and land her in jail. A gleeful Joe (Tyler Perry) couldn't...

Tyler Perry, the unstoppable sensation who makes really bad movies, is back in the dress and returning to his Madea character. His next film is Madea Goes To Jail, and it now has a trailer. It's kind of like Ernest Goes to Jail, except without the super powers. The great thing about his return to this character is that it puts Perry back as the star of his own movie. Even though Family that Preys was awful, Perry delivers a fantastic performance. Putting him in the middle of every scene can only help improve his often heavy-handed material.
