Featured review
Kathryn McGuire breaks off her engagement to Jack Mower; she says he loves his police dog, Fearless, more than her. However, when her father's expensive diamond necklace and a set of paste imitations are stolen several times each, it's up to Fearless to track down the thieves, recover the diamonds and probably book the honeymoon reservations.
Dogs had been popular stars of movies at least since Hepworth's RESCUED BY ROVER. The success of the Rin-Tin-Tin movies had kicked the mania into high gear. It's impossible to tell whether ambitious producer Joe Rock sold this series to ambitious Poverty Row production company Chesterfield or vice versa, but the casting of Mr Rock's comedy buddies and the tongue-in-cheek manner in which the plot is stretched out make this a very silly entry in the Dog Star competition.
