Iwa is doing poorly after childbirth. Iemon is irritate by her and their baby crying. Meanwhile, a powerful samurai's granddaughter Ume falls in illicit love with Iemon, and she and her grandfather plan to give a poison to Iwa to stole her husband.

There is a old white castle where yokais live in. One day, a falconer Zushonosuke met a graceful lady Tomihime in a forest near the castle when he followed his lord's falcon. He misses her after that, though he learns that she is the leader of the yokais in the castle.

Zushonosuke visited the castle to take back the falcon, however he was caught by yokais. Tomihime saves him, and tells him that she can't give it back because her mother's soul resides with it.

Zushonosuke and Tomihime went on a date as an ordinary couple, and planned to run away together. But her oldest maid persuaded her to not to carry out the plan. He gets married to an ordinary woman to forget his love.

The feudal lord makes a raid on the white castle with his army to exterminate yokais. Zushonosuke tries to stop the battle.

When Medicine-Seller got to a sumurai's residence, the patriarch's granddaughter prepared to go to her wedding ceremony. However, she dies an unnatural death just after leaving the building.
