The final episode of the series. After Chris and Fliss attend an Ideal Homes type of exhibition. The Hawthorne's could be going upmarket.
Fliss has fallen in love with a new house in Wilmslow, Cheshire. A rather posh area with expensive houses. This one is well over 30k.
Their existing house is worth maybe 14k. Chris would not have enough to get a mortgage and he worries about the monthly mortgage repayments.
It turns out Fliss' mother is willing to help out. She expects to stay in the spare room every now and then. While Adrian is willing to buy their existing house.
Chris is still reluctant to move. He hopes to move to Fleet Street one day.
In hindsight Chris should had jumped into moving to Wilmslow. By the time he paid off his mortgage in 2005. He would had been sitting on a gold mine. House prices in Wilmslow went through the roof.
One of the characters in this episode is called Sonia Sutcliffe. Oops!
