Having just come back from the world premiere of this documentary at the Tribeca Film Festival, I have to attest what a gem it is. I'm a big comics fan of the superhero genre and so I was aware of Eisner and all the accolades in passing but didn't know much of him beyond that. However, this documentary really opened my eyes to both Eisner as a pioneer in the comics industry and more importantly as a human being. The director Andrew Cooke did an amazing job combing thru interviews and old files and not to be outdone Kris Schackman did a spectacular job editing the bits of footage and art and putting it all together. I was surprised to hear this film was done on a shoestring budget considering the quality audio and visual. Great job all around guys. Here's to hoping this little gem brings in some awards on the film festival circuit.
