I am not typically fond of children's programming, but I do have a little boy, and it is unfair to make him watch nothing but documentaries.
I found this show on a kid's TV app, and frankly, I love it! The stop motion animation is charming and of excellent quality. The characters are believable and unique, and I felt an immediate connection with them. The families portrayed are multi-generational and very loving, and their Cree culture is a central feature of the series.
There is not nearly enough quality children's programming, and there is a severe lack of Aboriginal representation in nearly all media. Wapos Bay fills two needs and does it well. My kid is asleep for his nap, and I am still watching this show! Give it a try!
