The electronic group is launching their announcement with “What Else Is There?” featuring Fever Ray, a new version of the classic Röyksopp track from their 2005 album, The Understanding.

Children of the Sun is a pulpy fever dream developed by one man and published by Devolver Digital. If you took Suda 51’s Killer7, and combined it with Sniper Elite, SuperHot and Mandy, then you’d end up with something resembling René Rother’s Children of the Sun. It works beyond just being a dynamic piece of visual art too, containing some extremely satisfying gameplay that feels crunchy and tactile.

Meanwhile, at the hospital Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) confirms Jason didn’t shoot him, although his visitor may not believe him; he doesn’t want his visitor to write Jason off.

Sony’s spring event pic Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire has started off its North American box office run with $4.7 million in Thursday previews before rolling out everywhere on Friday.

That compares to $4.5 million in previews for the last film, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which succeeded in restoring the luster to the classic franchise created by the late Ivan Reitman. His son, Jason Reitman, directed Afterlife, but this time turned over helming duties to series co-scribe Gil Kenan.

Sony expects Frozen Empire to top the weekend’s box office chart with an opening in the $43 million to $44 million range, while tracking services are suggesting $45 million or more. (Afterlife, which debuted amid the challenges posed by the pandemic era, debuted to $44 million domestically). Critics didn’t exactly embrace either film, with Frozen Empire presently sporting a not-so-fresh score of 44 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Positive audience reaction, however, may boost the movie’s box office potential.

Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Keith Urban, and more will hit the stage at the 2024 CMT Music Awards, which will take place April 7 at the Moody Center in Austin, and air live on CBS and Paramount+. New performers just added to the lineup include Cody Johnson, Megan Moroney, and Old Dominion. A splashy Netflix UK scripted slate features a historical series about the Guinness brewery from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight and the latest ‘one-shot’ offering from Stephen Graham, Jack Thorne and Philip Barantini.

The prolific Knight is penning House of Guinness [working title] from long-time producing collaborator Kudos.

The show will tell the story of one of Europe’s most famous and enduring dynasties – The Guinness Family. Set in 19th-century Dublin and New York, it will focus on the consequences of the death of Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the extraordinary success of the Guinness brewery, and the far-reaching impact of his cunning will on the fate of his four adult children, Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben, as well as on a group of Dublin characters who work and interact with the growing juggernaut that is one of the most beloved alcoholic drinks today.

Days of our Lives spoilers for next week’s episodes of the hit Peacock soap tease February sweeps are heating up — literally.

This week ended with three major cliffhangers that will dramatically change Salem.

First up is the beloved Horton family home, which was set on fire right after Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) told Thomas (Cary Christopher) and Charlotte (Olivia and Oakley Rondou) a story about the home’s legacy.

The other cliffhanger moments were Harris (Steve Burton) being shot multiple times and shots ringing out in Harris’ room where Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) was supposedly sleeping.

Next week picks up with answers to those three shocking moments that are clearly sending a message to Chad (Billy Flynn), Lucas, and Harris.

Acclaimed filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki’s Japanese film The Boy and the Heron flew to a record-breaking $12.8 million opening, making it the first original anime title in history to top the North American box office chart.

The whimsical movie — which earned Miyazaki his first Golden Globe nomination on Monday — wisely chose to open on a weekend when there were no new wide releases from the major Hollywood studios. The Vancouver Film Critics Circle has named Everything Everywhere All at Once as its best international feature of 2022.

Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert were also named best directors for their award season contending comedy, which also earned Michelle Yeoh the crown as best actress. Earlier, A24’s Everything Everywhere All at Once led the field for the 95th Academy Awards with 11 nominations, including best picture.

Exclusive: The events of Mark Zuckerberg’s life and creation of Facebook/Meta are to be charted in a Sky documentary, revealed on an eight-strong slate.

Zuckerberg: King of the Metaverse [working title] will piece together the events of the billionaire’s life along with the creation of his world-shaping website across 90 minutes. After months of speculation, Titans and Doom Patrol were officially canceled in January 2023, with their respective season 4 set to wrap up both series. While the news came in the midst of HBO Max cutting multiple shows from the streaming service, the cancellation was reportedly not due to the studio's budget trimming. Titans and Doom Patrol getting axed was also not the result of DC Studios, as James Gunn clarified that he and Peter Safran had no involvement in that.
