In 2014, Anima Studios announced that Season Eight will finally show La Chilindrina, however that season fell into development hell until 2020 when it was finally canceled after contracts between "Grupo Chespirito" and Televisa expired, with the first one choosing to not to renew the contract due to economic disputes with Televisa.
Due to La Chilindrina's absence, La Popis and Ñoño play her roles in several episodes.
