On the DVD commentary, Trey Parker and Matt Stone mentioned that, due to this episode, they both actually received free Wii systems courtesy of Nintendo.
As well as a Nintendo Wii, a Gamecube and NES (two older Nintendo games consoles) are also present at the museum of technology.
This episode originally aired a little over a week before the Nintendo Wii first came out. As of October 2013, Nintendo ceased production of the original Wii and the Wii Family Edition. In November 2017, Nintendo ceased production of the Wii Mini.
