- TriviaSteve Lyons was immediately fired for remarks he made during Game 3 of the 2006 American League Championship Series. Commentator Lou Piniella, who is of Spanish descent, compared a play with the luck of finding a wallet, and then said some phrases in Spanish. Lyons responded by saying that Piniella was "hablaing [sic] Español" and added, "I still can't find my wallet. I don't understand him, and I don't want to sit close to him now." Lyons was replaced by Jose Mota. Lou Piniella later stated that Lyons was "kidding" and that Lyons was not racist.

MLB on FOX which is usually a Saturday afternoon baseball game on the FOX network and probably the most watched MLB games nationwide of the week. Since it's the only games of the week guaranteed to be on network TV. ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball might be the overall most high profile game of the week but it's still on a cable channel while these games are on network TV. They tend to have 3 games that the FOX channel will potentially air that afternoon, depending on whats the most desirable game for your market. So if you live in the eastern part of the country you'll more likely get games involving the Red Sox, Yankees or Phillies while in the central part of the country you're more likely to get games involving the Cardinals, Tigers or Brewers, same goes for the West Coast with the Dodgers, Giants and so on.
