Someone playing golf indoors, a turkey getting stolen and some nifty dancing.
Buster West and Tom Patricola might show some dancing skills in this cheap short set in a hotel but it is all a little too wacky and dated.
The story does not add up to much and the knockabout comedy is not really funny.

Buster West plays a young man who wants to marry a lady. But there's a problem...her father is a complete grouch! So the plan is to invite her and her father to dinner. And, after feeding him a great dinner, he'll be more likely to give his approval. But there are some problems. First, Buster gets his friend (Tom Patricola) to pose as his butler AND relies on this guy to cook the meal. Second, the father wants turkey...and there are some serious problems getting a turkey cooked because a thief hid a stolen bracelet inside the turkey! It becomes a lot more complicated than this...and even involves a police captain! See the film to find out what's next.
This is an enjoyable short. My only reservation is that it's pretty light on laughs...in fact, I can't think of any...which is a problem since it's a comedy! Also, I was confused because right near the end, they FINALLY get a turkey and it is cooked almost instantly...not the three-four hours you'd expect for such a huge bird!

Buster West wants to marry Doris Donaldson, but needs the agreement of her father. He's invited them to dinner of lamb chops, but daddy doesn't want lamb chops. He wants turkey. So West gets involved with three turkeys, a diamond necklace, two cops, a thief, and has Tom Patricola cook a turkey in about six minutes.
It's the last of the shorts that West & Patricola made, and it's timed like a burlesque skit, with lots of pratfalls and breakage. The boys do some eccentric dancing and there's little to dispute about the energy of their performances. I liked it. Their timing is excellent. Others may disagree and, judging by the IMDb comments, do.
