Jurgen Delnaet, Johnny had to take lessons to drive the truck in the film. As he failed his final exam the production had to put an experienced tutor in the truck during the takes.
The film was shot on 20 days on a shoestring budget.
At the beginning, when Matty and her two children are going out the supermarket, Tuur Florizoone, who has written the music of the movie, is playing the accordion in front of the supermarket.
