"Dear Stranger" has a wonderfully dreamlike and lyrical feeling. Obsession seems almost normal; normal feels obsessive. A very modern version of a love story.
The use of still photographs to engineer a kind of dream sequence is quite amazing. Ajit has an incredible eye and should make more films like this one.
We never actually hear the actress speak - her thoughts are spoken in voice over. This tactic apparently lends a kind of delicacy and pacing to the words we hear that is a nice companion to the overall lyrical feeling of the film. I think a lot more film festivals should be showing this film.
