A modern day retelling of "The Caucasian Chalk Circle" brings humor to a heavy topic. While the production values are down and dirty this piece is a lot of fun. The stunt work is more playful then slick but that sets the tone. The piece starts abruptly but the premise is so simple it's easy to cruise past that and start hoping these insane women will work their issues out without killing the baby. They are at their most natural with the babe in arms. In spite of the simple premise it has a satisfying if not unexpected end. I'm so glad this theme wasn't approached with the seriousness of the news headlines that must have inspired it.
