    • Quotes

Director: So you came here just for the audition?

William Ashe: Well yeah... I figured it'd be smart to stay where the auditions are held. I mean, who knew it'd be in a hotel, right?

    Quirky and Pleasant Film

"Audition" is an interesting short that contains many genres wrapped up into one quirky film. It stands up well despite its low budget. Todd Waters is perfect as the sappy lead and the rest of the cast deliver solid performances under the steady direction of Sam W. Holdren.

Taking over two years to make, and well worth it, "Audition" is not perfect but certainly that deserves repeated viewing. Great locations and an interesting twisted plot set the backdrop for this dark-comedy/mystery full of many memorable characters.

It's a little bit of "Forest Gump" mixed with Hitchcock and Altman. Could be a festival sleeper.
