Cris Morena disliked the changes made from the original Floricienta (2004) to this series. She reportedly told the Mexican producers "not to fool" themselves, as Floricienta "is no rock star". Many songs from the soundtrack, however, were written by Morena. Of all versions, the Mexican series is the most distinguished from the original Argentine series.
