In this funny late entry in Educational Pictures' FROLICS OF YOUTH series, Norman Phillips Jr. And Kenneth Howell are to meet each other in a boxing match, despite the best that kid sister Gloria Browne, girlfriend Dorothea Kent, and manager/referee Sidney Miller can do.

Despite the story of the movie, Miss Browne is given a lot of screen time; she had replaced Shirley Temple in the series, and doubtless the production team hoped to strike fire twice.

More interesting in terms of careers, Sidney Miller had quite a prodigious career in the movies. He entered as am actor at the age of 15 in 1931, and by the time he died in 2004 at the age of 87, he had performed on more than 150 movies and television episode, and had directed more than forty episodes of television and one movie.

In this short from Educational Pictures, teenaged Sonny is working hard for the upcoming boxing match against his rival, Harry. Much of the film consists of his preparing for the match as well as his little sister's antics. When the match finally arrives, Harry is beating the snot out of Sonny and the only hope for Sonny is if he cheats...which he does without realizing it!

This short is only fair. Much of it is because the 'cute' little sister is pretty annoying as opposed to being adorable. Also, the rest of the cast are pretty bland and the film's message is dubious at best. You could do better than watch this one.
