About 1.5 years after the movie was released on DVD in its regular version, director Jack Messitt announced a "Killer Cut" that would feature additional scenes and enhanced VFX, in order to make the movie even better. In total the Killer Cut runs approx. 2 minutes longer than the original cut of the movie and about 31 - mostly minor and rather irrelevant - changes can be found throughout the movie. Therefore it is rather questionable whether the Killer Cut is any better than the original version. Nonetheless one can find a detailed comparison between versions with pictures here.
