Time Flies When You're Alive

I laughed... I cried... and, when my daughter was born I did what he did (and they looked at me like I was crazy). Haha

I'm tearing up just remembering watching this, and that was thirty-five years ago.

He basically walked us through a thumbnail sketch of his relationship with his wife and their family; the hardships and key decisions during the marriage and when she fell ill with cancer. The highs and lows... of, perhaps unconventional People, seeking, and walking, their spiritual path as a couple, family and after the long tragic fight and loss someone central to us.

It was poignant and beautiful. And, it was just him talking to us.

There've been others who've done one-person stage shows they later ported to video, and they were all meaningful to me: * Reno: In Rage and Rehab (1989) * John Leguizamo has done several about his upbringing and family.

I know I self-medicate my dopamine addiction with emotional reactions, and am limited to taking in information in certain domains of my life by video content... I believe that's a common route for the eighteen or so percent of us who have some degree of ADD/ADHD or Reward System Dystrophy, as I call it.

But, if you're reading this and it strikes a chord, you know the dopamine we glean through investing ourselves in a good story adds depth and dimension, and empathy.

This is definitely worth the watch. And, that's from watching it 35 years ago. YMMV :)
