Very Funny Silent Film

I recently saw this piece at the Bare Bones International Film Festival in Oklahoma, where it was very warmly received by the audience. In describing the plot, I can't really improve upon the listed tag-line "A well-meaning businessman believes he has fallen victim to a blind man's scam."

The movie, at a breezy three minutes, is essentially a sketch that is a parody of silent film with a few well-placed twists, and very well done. For what the movie aims to do, it's well shot and edited, and it was easily one of the best and most polished films programmed at the festival. This is the type of short piece that SHOULD be programmed before features as a warm-up, because I think it has very good replay value.

If I had to criticize anything, it would be that the silent movie parody has generally been overdone. However, "Blind Man's Bluff" (and the folks behind it) have obviously made sure the silent film motif is put to proper use in combination with both story--and especially--performance, rather than have the parody for parody's sake. Bravo!
