Director Andrew Merkelbach sent us along some new pics from his upcoming alien/zombie hybrid Deader Country, sequel to the upcoming Dead Country, which hits DVD later this October. B-d reader 'perthpaddy' writes in that Andrew Merkelbach - director of the upcoming movie Dead Country - says on his MySpace Blog that he's in pre-production on a new Aussie horror film. "My next project will be a horror film called I Am A Freak!, which is already in the pre-production stages. The film will once again mix multiple genres and is expected to lense later this year." He continues, "For the record, I've always wanted to do my own version of the classic creature feature, so this is something I'm very excited about working on. Just like with Dead Country, this will be done in a completely new way, whilst paying tribute to the classic monster movies / exploitation flicks of yesteryear. I intend to once again bring my unique style and vision to the project." More details as they come in.
