I like the show , but Celine and Fabien seem to be a bit awkward on camera i don't know if its because they are reading the script or that's just them and we don't need to see you prep for dives every show unless you're telling us about some new gadget your using.
They tell some interesting stories about events I hadn't heard before, instead of the same old repeats. But every now and then the directors attempt at "drama" before a commercial break is...mildly annoying.

Why is every dive a life of death experience?
Why does the dive master rattle on all the time about dive safety?
Why is it life or death every time the have to surface? You have a quarter of a tank of air GET TO THE SURFACE RIGHT NOW!! Warning danger will Robinson. Well I think they are ok cause you can see the bottom of the boat, I think you can do that without extra air!
Why are they surprised every time they enter a room when the camera man is already there?
Don't get me wrong this show is good, but it could be great if they just stopped whats listed above. The subject matter is very interesting. and the hosts a good, but arrrgh the guy who runs the dives need to shut up!

Nothing ever actually happens in any of the episodes. There's so much hype and drama and mystery leading up through the whole episode, and then....nothing. Maybe if they actually found something cool I'd be more into it, but it always the same thing. They talk about rumors and things people have claimed they've seen, and that's about it. Actual dive time is pretty small and they never see anything cool.

I enjoyed the show, and I think we need more of shows researching various anomalies around the world and especially underwater. This documentary mini-series is definitely more about the journey than the destination, and I still had a good time watching it.
The things I liked about show:
The things I didn't like about the show:
Now, I know that these episodes are quite demanding to make, very budget-consuming and not to mention pretty dangerous, as well. Another good thing I have to mention is that all 4 episodes of the show are available to watch for free on Legends of the deep official facebook page, even if not in the best video quality :)
The things I liked about show:
- The stories of legends and mysteries behind each episode are very intriguing
- I liked the underwater footage
- The mysterious vibe of the stories combined with spooky scenarios is a great formula for the show, so it's entertaining.
- I also enjoyed the various routes the show took, such as collecting further evidence, interviewing eyewitnesses or people who knows about the legends in an attept to come closer to solve the mysteries.
The things I didn't like about the show:
- The show seems more oriented towards surviving every minute under water than it is on exploration alone. There is always mortal danger in every step they do. So usually as soon as they get to the bottom of the sea and look around a bit they already have to resurface.
- The episodes feel scripted. The music sometimes it too over the top to accentuate the drama, the dialogues, the camera positions most of the time don't feel natural or genune at all, also there to cause more drama. In the end it feels more like a movie than an actual documentary.
- The show could have more episodes, there are only 4.
- Nothing interesting is ever found, except in the very last episode.

Did these two get corporate funding just because of their grandads name to fund their pleasure dives? I'm confused here. What 'legends' am I supposed to be taking away from watching this on the science channel? That with the right last name, you too can dive for free?!

No history. Just more bogus drama. Oh I'm running out of air. Oh it's just a rock and so on. Even worse than civil war gold and the WWII treasure show.
Please please please please stop pretending every mundane event is some life threatening white knuckle moment. I was actually interested in the content but the show became absolutely insufferable thanks to the dishonest, overplayed, fake as plastic, over-inflated garbage "drama" that did nothing but turn the show into 90% faked fluff and 10% actual content.

You wouldn't believe the underwater footage in this show, it's like watching Planet Earth, but mixed with a mystery.
I like the concept of the show, but I don't find Celine or Fabien to be very likeable. I'm also already tired of seeing them in the process of suiting up for every dive. I would rather see more underwater footage than them getting their gear together.
Uninteresting show about nothing, lot's of taking, lot's of speculation and that's it. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Waste of time. Pointless.
The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau was a great documentary, his grandchildren just use his name and fame to produce nothing of substance.
Avoid!

Sorry I couldn't give it no star. Nothing ever happens. The young Cousteaus self-promotion using their father's great accomplishments. Each episode could have been done in 5 mins. Flat. Went under water and found nothing. The end.
As a marine biologist, professional diver and marine archaeologist I was thrilled to see that the grandchildren of the great innovator were doing this. The documentaries promise much more than what is delivered. The dive sites look interesting and the technology used is great but could be used with far better results. A more methodical scientific approach is needed for results to be obtained. I felt by the end of each episode that I was left with more questions than answers.

I feel we have explored every mystery above ground so great to be tackling mysteries below the surface and who better to do it than the legendary Cousteaus. Small complaint - would like to see more on latest technology though and in the water hence why a 9 from me!

Solid show with some fantastic underwater footage. Love the onscreen graphics. Overall tone is more edge of your seat suspense than Nova or PBS which is a good thing. Wish it were more than 4 episodes so we could really see the show develop.

Really fun show, the ocean has been so little explored that there's always something new to discover, and no better people to do it with then the Cousteau family!

I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed this series. The knowledge shared and visuals were top notch.
Legends of the Deep succeeds on every front and excels with its ability to make the ocean feel exciting and new. Fabien and Celine are refreshingly real. In an age where television feels hyper-manufactured - this third generation of Cousteau's emulates and achieves the sincerity and humanity that their late grandfather Jacques brought to the screen.
What I enjoyed most about the program is how beautifully it marries technology, history, and mystery. Unlike most of entertainment today - their unsolved mysteries are given a logical hypothesis rooted in science. You're left with a sense of satisfaction and a feeling that you too were part of the journey. Looking forward to more episodes soon.

Loved seeing the next gen Cousteau's taking us into uncharted territories.
Great underwater filming and stories. Looking to see more.
As a huge fan of the Bermuda Triangle, and of all things ocean-related, the first episode of this fantastic series got me hooked right away and have enjoyed the rest of the episodes! The Costeau duo and all the kickass tech they use makes for an exciting, relevant and overall super-fun show!
Happened to flick over and see this show - and glad I did!, really incite full, amazing cinema photography! The underwater imagery is breathtaking.
Going to set an episode series link on my DVR and make sure I go back to the episode/s I missed already?
Great details and information on a subject which fascinated me!
