When the characters speak in Spanish, most of them have Mexican accents (including and most obviously Eduardo Camacho.) No real Bolivian accents are heard in the movie.
To emphasize the point of the problematic German author of the quote provided to Pat, some Mariachis sing at his hotel door. This is the 3rd verse of the 'Deutschlandlied', the national anthem of the Federal Republic of Germany. The notorious 1st verse ("Deutschland, Deutschland über alles") favored in the 3rd Reich would have been more fitting to the quote's author.
Spanish mistake: the opposing candidate says that hes a "sensitivo" candidate. That's not a Spanish word! It should be "sensible".
Spanish mistake: a TV interviewer asks the candidate if he's a member of a "culto". It should be "secta". "Culto" means worship, not cult.
Jane brings her co-worker to Bolivia and introduces her as Sarah LeBlanc. Later in the movie, Buckley introduces LeBlanc to Eduardo and his Bolivian friends as follows: "this is my underage judgmental friend LeBlanc. She is not real. And apparently, she doesn't have a first or last name either.It's just LeBlanc." As Buckley when present when Jane introduces LeBlanc, he knew her first name was Sarah.
