Calogero is in the witness protection program after having witnessed a mafia murder in Sicily. With a new identity, he is sent to Sauris. However, he soon finds out the killer he had reported started a new life there too.

Particular film. The story is interesting and plausible. The shooting locations in Friuli are spectacular. The ending of the film leaves a little perplexing. It&#39;s too vague for me. Either it ended with the protagonist returning to Sicily with his family or with a fight between the young man and his wife to stay away from Sicily to raise his daughter with greater freedom.

The film has good scenes and some good photography, but plays with cliché jokes (priest, gays) and is grounded in so much patriarchal ideas about men entitlement to do whatever they want.<br/><br/>The end sucks. Lazy writer.
