The original script contained flashbacks in which Viktor witnessed the fatal beating of a man in a basement and was then attacked by a lunatic in the crowd. This sequence was never filmed.
The original script contained a sequence in which Viktor went into a small grocery store which was open, but empty, and wandered around while hallucinations affected his vision. This sequence was never filmed. Another deleted scene from the original script featured Viktor entering Walt's house, in search of him after finding a severed hand outside, but finding the house empty yet in disarray. This sequence was shot, but deleted from the final cut.
