"Not so far from here and not too long from now", after the infotech and biotech industries merged, a salesman takes broken-hearted-Caiti, into a digital-sales-pitch. Since it is still in beta, Caiti finds herself in absurd worlds and situation. Despite all the glitches, we are introduced to the latest product in human / machine integration. Throughout this digital adventure we learn about it's benefits at the cost of our privacy, eventually becoming hackable creatures.--once AI is introduced to our inner workings, the flow of information becomes an unstoppable cascade; "follow your heart" might not be good advice when it is monitored by infotech giants like Google, Apple, or Amazon. THE BEAT3000 is a surreal-comedic exploration of beliefs like "free will", "a change of heart" or "follow your heat" in the 21st Century.
