A riveting account of 1994. Sadly, a truly history changing year for Mexico. Colosio was the most charismatic top presidential candidate in decades. But he was also strong-minded, intelligent, compassionate and thoughtful. Measured in his ways, he was a relentless competitor. 1994 was a real tragedy for all Mexicans. Aburto WAS in fact Colosio&#39;s sole killer, and many agree his bullets killed two Presidents, Colosio and Salinas. But it would be Zedillo, the former campaign manager, that would shamelessly bury Colosio... once he had won the elections. Why did he not attend the widow&#39;s funeral? And why did he reject to contribute to this documentary? - Carlos Salinas, a brilliant man, was unfairly treated by the masses. Raúl however, though not a killer, was a corrupt man, and rightly served 10 years in prison for it. This documentary is well made and does justice to the memory of a great man who wanted to serve his country, and who had been &quot;forgotten&quot;. We remember you now Luis Donaldo!

Important issue, nice footage, could be a nice documentary... but it is a horribly edited and unfocused piece that aims to make spectators waist their time instead of just telling well that important story. It is boring even for politics affictionates like me. They made interviews with important people, such as former president Carlos Salinas de Gortari and guerrilla spokesman Subcomandante Marcos, but they could not capture useful quotes, leading to nothing.

If you are going to make a documentary, at least pretend to make it objectively. It does not provide anything to the audience, and I&#39;m not talking about answers, just facts to make you analyse the whole thing. We already know the whole &#39;she said, he said, I saw, they heard&#39; drama. All chapters lack of structure, credibility and narrative. Just like the other documentary about the 43 students (the one of the turtle), it doesn&#39;t add anything interesting to the case. There is only one line where somebody blames Salinas and that&#39;s it. Nothing more. Disappointing and a waste of time.
