Immediately following the Opening Titles, Tony Todd, who played the title character in Candyman, rehearses saying "Good Evening," five times in the mirror in an homage to his aforementioned role.

The entire film is an homage to Creepshow. In fact, one of the actors from Creepshow was cast.
