Before the principal photography began, Jennylyn Mercado was invited by her boyfriend Patrick Garcia to watch an archery tournament in Batangas. She attended not only to support Patrick but also to observe and do research for her role in this movie where she plays an archery athlete. She was later trained by members of the athletic archery association for her role. Members of the group were in the set for assistance.
