It looks to have been shot with one professional camera, in addition to many of the cast's Motorola flip phones. There are worst movies out there, and at least some of the scenery was nice, and the sound was consistently mixed.
Let's just get it out of the way quickly and just mention in passing that this multicultural, woke, vaping cast is an excuse to perpetuate the most cynical and dramatic racial stereotypes. But hey, white people! Am I right? (that line is legitimately in the first 17 minutes of the movie.)
The attempt to legitimize the found footage narrative style was so lazy, and rather indicated the requirement to film this on cheap, handheld cameras. This was also the first movie I've ever seen, in my life that included re-enactments of police rummaging through crime scenes in addition to the interview-as-an-exposition-dump trope.
The acting was so bad, their lines were so insultingly stupid and their characters were so unlikeable that I found myself wanting to fight them physically. I'm not even sure if I wanted to hit the actors or their characters, but I was overcome with the overwhelming desire to hit them, while holding a brick.
I will definitely never want to see this movie again, and I may end a friendship if someone I know ever so much as suggests watching it. However, to stay consistent with how I generally rank movies, I added one star for the fact that it was filmed outdoors, and some of the scenery was pleasant to look at.

I usually love scary mother nature movies, but this one was soo disappointing.. The movie took FOREVER to get going!! I mean nothing really started happening until almost an hour in; they didnt really include any of the bad hurricane weather; and I didn't think they did a good job with the gorey, special effects parts either.... I also didn't like how it cut back and forth between the college kids and the police investigation stuff; they should've kept that seperate in my opinion and maybe used it for part of the ending or something. I'm glad the filming wasn't shakey since some of it was filmed from their perspective, but they should've picked between either just using the "found footage" or just filming it from a 3rd party perspective tho. It definitely had potential to be a decent movie bc of the storyline....
Its really bad. The plot and ending. I'm actually
Mad at myself for sitting through it. If I could give it
zero stars I would. The ending had no clear explanation
and it was one of those "something happens in the credits,"
endings.
Everything about it is annoying. The story had potential, but not worth the watch at all. No character development, some decent camera work (when it's not the found footage) Cheesy lighting effects.
This was a good laugh. I love watching movies below a list and this was a z. The acting was absolutely horrible. Storyline had potential but was unfortunately poorly executed. Horrible script. I don't know any of the actors let alone even recognizing them. Reading some of the other comments, I see some rented this movie. I'm thankful I was able to enjoy it free on Tubi. This isn't something I'd ever watch again but it was a really good laugh so I definitely don't regret it.
I don't know why IMDB requires so many characters as if we get paid for our opinion but this paragraph is to eat some of the letters up.
