Netflix's Hot Frosty has effectively been branded as part of the opening salvo of a return to form for the streamer's traditionally robust Christmas movie slate, as their platter of holiday offerings in 2023 was empty of major high-concept releases. With the new movie being followed by the Chad Michael Murray-led The Merriest Gentlemen, about a young woman saving her family's venue by putting on a Christmas show featuring male exotic dancers, it has been the streamer's implicit promise that not only are the holidays at Netflix back, they are spicier than ever.

Netflix is rolling out more holiday movies for the winter of 2024, including Hot Frosty, which features a talented cast of actors many viewers will recognize. The Christmas fantasy film, directed by Jerry Ciccoritti and written by Russell Hainline, tells the classic story of a snowman who comes to life but turns it into a rom-com. Hot Frosty revolves around Kathy, a widowed woman who owns a restaurant in the small town of Hope Springs. After the heartbreak of losing her husband two years ago, Kathy fails to take care of herself, until a certain snowman enters her life.
Hot Frosty is a part of Netflix's lineup of 2024 holiday movies and is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, November 13.
Lacey Chabert and Dustin Milligan (who the audience will likely know from their previous popular films and TV shows) are the faces of the Netflix Christmas movie. However, the rest of the cast...
