I thought this one was decent. I'm a huge fan of indie flicks and this definitely is an indie. I felt the acting was pretty good. One of the main problems with the movie is the writing. It could have used some tightening up. It was a bit hard to follow what was going on exactly. I also thought the pacing could have been better. The movie itself was about 20 or so minutes too long. It also could have used some better editing. The camera stayed on the scene for too long in a lot of scenes.
Then there's the whole thing about it being labeled a sci-fi flick. I think that's a bit misleading. Overall, the movie was okay. I look forward to seeing what the director does next.

This movie is an example of why Hollywood is dead.
It is when a writer thinks he can direct and the result is a script that is weak and a story that is pointless.
The film was not good. The acting was over the top. The sets were ok... but the editing and directing were sub par. It is not a compelling story, Psycho was a compelling story. This was at best a boring story.
Please do not write and direct. Write or Direct. At least you had the foresight to not act in the story you wrote and thought you could direct.
Please do one thing and do it well. Write a good strong compelling story that goes somewhere and do not attempt to direct it. Leave that to an actual director. And if you are a director in this business, please do not write. Francis Coppola tried that and Megapolis was a 125 million dollar waste of a film and the worst film failure in a century because he thought he could write and direct.

I was pleasantly surprised by the storyline- surprised by some plot twists I wasn't expecting (which we all love) and a complexity in characters that kept me interested. The movie is worth a watch for sure and leads one to consider the application of the subject matter to our everyday lives and future in medicine.
On an artistic note, I appreciated the way the film was shot- the use of framing, reflections, and angles were of particular interest as well as the overall color edit which did well to match the vibe of the movie.
My only feedback was I was left wishing for a bit more detail and *honestly* sexual interaction between the two main characters...but perhaps we will see that in Tacoma 2.
