I shall not blast this movie from wall to wall, because there are some very good acting and pretty high quality production to this flick. the score are also fruitfull and tempting, and so were also some of the actresses. but there are some shadow moments especially near the end that dissapoints a lot. the film is defined as a comedy, and with an uplifting start till halfway the buildup for a superclimax were inevitable, but it all disappeared in the air like a disney figure helium baloon slipping out of the hands of a cranky 5 year old. that is most due to script fatigue and bad direction, and at some extent lack of selfconfidence actingwise.
and here you have the firsttimers. the majority does a reel to reel good job, but the actor behind the ''tennie'' caracter really got some carburator trouble in the final half, the revelation half. or the friend to friend discussion between father and child. the tension in the dialouges between father and daughter fails so badly in its content, power and truthfullness, because the teenager became like a bratchild of wrath, she falls through in lack of confidence and experience ,in gritty emotional cries for help hanging on to the script lines for bare life. from being a lioness of the house and among friends in the first half, she limps like a wounded puppy near the end.
i'm grumpy and im old, and i also adored'' tennies ''aura of beauty, so if shes continues acting i will follow up and watch with interest, just say that talent there are and its a tough learning curve to speak like a lioness faceup with a dad, so let yourself loose, and a final remark to the makers, some retake practice would help alot.
its a 5er for the first half and a good looking cast and score. you should give a look after all, cause it gave me some good laughs initially and its a happy end to it all after all
