Remember that action flick from 1989, Road House? With its gritty actions and cool characters, especially Patrick Swayze in the lead bouncer, the movie was a big hit. And now, it has gotten a reboot! MGM and Silver Picture dropped the remake on March 8, 2024, with Doug Liman directing and starring Jake Gyllenhaal in the Swayze’s shoes.

But we should not fail to remember the Og cast. They were top-notch, right? Sure, the remake is guaranteed to feature an excellent supporting cast, but it’s cool to see where the old team ended up.

Publicist Jennifer Allen told The Hollywood Reporter that the actor died Wednesday night or early Thursday in his sleep in his hotel room while in the Dominican Republic making the movie Dangerous Waters. His fiancée, Jacy Nittolo, was with him. He had begun work on the film about a week ago.

The upcoming thriller is based off Highslith’s novel The Blunderer. Set in 1960s New York, the novel follows Walter Stackhouse (Wilson), a successful architect who lives the perfect life with his wife, Clara (Biel). Stackhouse’s life slips into chaos, however, when he becomes fascinated with an unsolved murder that forces him into contact with a killer (Jones) and an ambitious detective.

Forest Whitaker has already played one historical leader and won an Oscar for it and now he may do it again. Paul Greengrass is casting for his upcoming film Memphis and he has his eye on the Academy Award-winning actor for the role of Martin Luther King Jr. The Scott Rudin-produced film was originally a Universal property but was dropped (due to scheduling and financing) a while back. It’s been in development for some time now and has only recently started to pick up some steam.

Details on how the film will play out aren’t fully known just yet but we have heard that it won’t paint King in the mostly flattering way, which is why his estate is against it. Biel, who first had nude scenes for the film ‘Powder Blue,’ is all for doing it again, states UsMagazine.com. “If a director I trusted came to me with an amazing opportunity and it felt organic, I would do it,” Biel said about taking off her clothes on film.

However, when she first saw the nude scenes from ‘Powder Blue’ online, she did cringe a bit, but wasn’t exactly “scarred” by it which has her open to more.

London, Nov 11: Hollywood star Jessica Biel has revealed that she cringes every time she sees her naked scenes in the movie Powder Blue.

Biel essayed the role of a stripper trying to earn money to raise her terminally ill son in the film - which went straight to DVD.

In an interview to the Daily Mail she said, "It's unfortunate."

"It was brutal for a while. There was so much more that we put into it."

However, the 29-year-old actress says that she might go naked again.

"I wasn't so scarred by the experience that I wouldn't do it again," she said.

Elvis Presley's granddaughter Riley Keough has landed the leading lady role in Steven Soderbergh's new movie about male strippers after beating Lindsay Lohan to the part, according to a new report.

I kind of figured The Wrestler would be Mickey Rourke's swan song. It would have been a particularly lovely coda to his career -- after all the drugging and drinking and carousing and insanity that had proceeded it, to have gone out as The Ram. But like some rusty junkyard truck, there's still a few miles left on the ol' workhorse.

His last few roles have been pretty weak cheese. Whiplash turned to shit quickly, and got a rather ignoble exit from the already crowded house that was Iron Man 2. And I get the feeling that Mickey Rourke was just hanging around the set during The Expendables, and nobody had the heart to tell him he wasn't in the movie or to move so they could get on with the filming. So they just kind of worked him into the plot.

Actress Jessica Biel, currently seen in the Vancouver-lensed feature "A-Team", will return to British Columbia to star in the $15 million suspense-thriller "The Tall Man", a Canadian-France co-production, set to film in Vancouver in September, directed by Pascal Laugier.

In all the excitement over all the other year- and decade-end lists, we almost overlooked Mr. Skin's ever-popular ranking of the best nude scenes bestowed upon us in 2009.

Previous winners have included Salma Hayek in 2006 ("Ask the Dust"), Marisa Tomei in 2007 ("Before the Devil Knows You're Dead") and Mischa Barton ("Closing the Ring") and Lizzy Caplan ("True Blood") in 2008 for their film and television work, respectively.

This year, the list has been combined once again and shortened to a mere Top 10. At the top of list, Susan Sarandon's daughter Eva Amurri for her turn as a college student/stripper on Showtime's "Californication," beating out Jessica Biel's feature film turn in "Powder Blue."

As he does every year, the industry leader in flesh, has ranked the best nude scenes of the year, combining both films and cable TV.

I think we all kind of expected Jessica Biel to win this year, with her ballyhooed first nude scene in Powder Blue. Had it been a surprise and had it not leaked to the internet and had the film actually made it to theaters, I think it probably would have won. She was upended, however, by Eva Amurri and her revealing stint on Californication. The other TV entrant is Anna Paquin from True Blood; last year, the show's Lizzy Caplan made the list, when Mr. Skin split it into TV and film categories.
