A guest spot on a television sitcom, especially one as insanely popular as "The Big Bang Theory," is basically television law. There's no legally binding mandate, per se, but it would get pretty monotonous if every week followed our series leads with absolutely no one else showing up for a laugh or surprise jolt from the live studio audience. Given the show's primary focus on "geek culture," or rather a heavily commercialized version of such, it makes sense that nerdom heavy hitters like James Earl Jones, Mark Hamill, and Adam West would make an appearance throughout its 12-season run. But then you can't sustain a roster of guest spots without expanding your star power horizons.
The series' 11th and penultimate season saw folks like Kathy Bates, Peter MacNicol, and Jerry O'Connell pop in for a quick hello, but you may be surprised to learn that "Fallout" star Walton Goggins and his beautiful scruff did too.

A third season of Bookie is too rich for Max’s blood: The streaming service has cancelled the Chuck Lorre sitcom starring stand-up comedian Sebastian Maniscalco, TVLine has confirmed. (Our sister site Variety first reported the news.)
“For two seasons creators Chuck Lorre and Nick Bakay and their hilarious cast, led by Sebastian Maniscalco, made us laugh while pulling back the curtain on the world of sports betting,” a Max spokesperson said in a statement. “We won’t be moving forward with a third season, but we are grateful to have worked with such a brilliant team on this laugh out loud comedy.

He smokes a cigarette annoyingly near other passengers. When one asks if he can move away from them, it nearly turns into a physical fight. Arriving at a stunningly picturesque Thai wellness resort, he curtly refuses the welcome gift of a phuang malai. When he stops seething long enough to address his cheerful young girlfriend, it’s to order her to stop talking, or to cut off her questions by telling her she’s “like a fucking machine gun.” Rick Hackett, in the third season of The White Lotus, is definitely a jerk. But it’s almost impossible to dislike him, because he is played by Walton Goggins.
It feels like Goggins has always been with us, such an indelibly cool motherfucker that he can pull off namesake Goggle Glasses that would make any other person look ridiculous. But it took a while for the industry to catch on: his...

“Elizabethtown. ““Dean.” “August: Osage County.” All somewhat recent cinematic efforts of the past several decades revolving around a person or two dealing with the passing of a family member, more often than not, accompanied by a return to their childhood home or small town that will itself become far more inevitably meaningful by film’s end. Directed by renaissance man Robert Schwartzman, having helmed such efforts as “Dreamland,” “The Unicorn,” and “The Argument” in addition to fronting indie group Rooney and appearing onscreen as the dreamboat love interest in “The Princess Diaries,” there’s a smattering of ambition present throughout his latest project “The Good Half, “one that can easily find itself in line with the contemporaries above but can’t help but repeatedly trip over its storytelling shoelaces in the process.

Fire Country is coming to Netflix. Season 1 of CBS’ popular drama will be available on Netflix in the US beginning August 1 in a deal made by series producer CBS Studios. This is an additional domestic streaming window for Fire Country, co-created and starring Max Thieriot, whose first two seasons are on Paramount+. It is designed to give the show additional exposure ahead of its Oct. 18 Season 3 premiere on CBS.
Paramount Global has been the most open to content windowing among the vertically integrated traditional media companies, with CBS Studios at the forefront of that, opening non-exclusive streaming windows for some of its current series on Netflix in the US after selling the shows internationally.
In a similar move, the studio in September 2020 licensed the first seasons of its CBS series Evil and The Unicorn to Netflix in advance of the shows’ second seasons on CBS that had been delayed by the pandemic.

Image: Netflix Every parent knows there are generally two kinds of animated features: the ones that put in the extra work to appeal to an audience of all ages and the ones that don’t aspire to entertain anyone but the easy-to-please under-12 set. Thelma The Unicorn is, sadly, the latter.

Closer in tone to the sharp adult series “BoJack Horseman” than to Illumination’s bland “Sing” franchise, Netflix’s “Thelma the Unicorn” avoids being rendered completely unoriginal by its overly familiar premise thanks to consistent splashes of acid humor and a plethora of wacky supporting characters. Reimagined from the popular 2015 children’s book by Aaron Blabey, this bright-colored fable concerns a female pony chasing musical stardom disguised as a horned magical creature. But by changing her identity to chase those ambitions, Thelma betrays herself and those who truly know her.
The adaptation marks the animated feature debut for co-directors Jared Hess and Lynn Wang. Jared and Jenusha Hess made a name for themselves with the quirky comedy Napoleon Dynamite but recently earned status as Academy Award nominees for their animated short Ninety-Five Senses. Thus, hopes were certainly high for their next project, the Netflix animated feature Thelma the Unicorn. Those hopes are misguided.
Inspired by the children’s book by Aaron Blabey, Thelma the Unicorn tells the story of a common farm pony who seizes the chance to make her dream come true when a chance incident causes her to look like a unicorn, only to realize that all that glitters is not… unicorns? With a pretty brief runtime, one would think that this would at least feel mercifully short. Unfortunately, the movie feels so uninspired that it goes by slowly nonetheless.

In a “Fallout” premiere packed with surprises, the Ghoul’s introduction is a nasty little treat. It’s a dark, blustery evening. Three men go grave-digging, but rather than robbing the dead, they’ve come with an offer. A rich bounty is up for grabs, and they need a little help to procure it. Honcho, the group’s leader, thinks he knows just the man for the job: a bounty hunter Honcho’s father used to work with, who’s been buried alive for years, maybe decades, at this very cemetery.

When you first see The Ghoul in “Fallout,” the most pronounced feature of Walton Goggins’ character is what’s missing. Just under the brim of his weathered cowboy hat and just above his wrinkled upper lip — you know, where his nose should be — there isn’t one. You can see the narrow nostril-dividing tissue, but there are no nostrils to divide. Instead, there’s just an A-shaped hole in his face. A cavity. An absence. So even though it’s obvious the handsome charmer from “Justified” is there, buried under a pound of latex, Prime Video viewers may not realize the physical demands of a role visibly defined by what’s been removed.
“I can’t see so well. I mean, I could see, but your periphery is gone,” Goggins said in an interview with IndieWire. “I’ve got these things over my teeth, so it’s hard to talk.

With every new fresh hell unleashed upon the world, it feels like each day we're inching closer and closer to the post-apocalyptic wasteland of the "Fallout" games. Technology continues to advance, but 1950s-esque ways of thinking are gaining popularity. Well, at least we can look forward to atompunk/retrofuturistic aesthetics and the ability to befriend robots. Prime Video has been working on a series adaptation of the mega-popular game series for quite some time now, revealing their first look all the way back in October of 2022. Exclusive: Fresh off the series finale of CBS’ True Lies, Omar Miller has entered production in Italy on Naples to New York, an indie based on a story penned in the 1940s by a young Federico Fellini, who was not yet a filmmaker, and his longtime friend and collaborator Tullio Pinelli.
Set in 1949, this is a story of two children who set off on a journey across the ocean, as stowaways on a ship, looking for a family and opportunity in America. Along the way, they encounter characters both well-meaning and nefarious, who cement their faith in humanity. Miller plays George, an American cook on an international merchant ship who befriends our two young Italian stowaways. He’s a gentle giant with great comedic timing, and a strong sense of humanity.
Gabriele Salvatores is directing from his own script, with Paco Cinematografica, Isabella Cocuzza and Arturo Paglia serving as exec producers.

During the 2020 pandemic, streaming services became the new gold rush. As nearly every entertainment company raced to set up their own version of Netflix, millions of dollars were thrown at new movies and shows, along with discounts and marketing gimmicks. How hard could it be to copy Netflix’s business model? After all, some of these companies had 100-year-old vaults of beloved content. Turns out, the streaming wars are more brutal than these companies anticipated. And investors are sending loud signals they’re losing patience.

I don’t know if anything is more soothing than Owen Wilson smiling while sporting a mighty blonde afro. With light twinkling in his eyes, Wilson stares into the distance, surrounded by happy little trees for IFC Films‘ new Paint poster. It’s moments like this when I’m thankful Wilson is experiencing a resurgence in cinema. Between starring in Marvel’s Loki and Disney’s Haunted Mansion and becoming powered up for the underrated Secret Headquarters family film, Wilson is in a good place.
Paint stars Owen Wilson as Vermont’s #1 public television painter, Carl Nargle, for Brit McAdams’ latest project, and Bob Ross fans are salivating.
In Paint, Wilson’s Nargle is convinced he has it all: a signature perm, custom van, and fans hanging on his every stroke. Yup! Nargle is on top of the world until a younger, better artist steals everything (and everyone) Carl loves.

A few years before she would become a household name by starring in critically acclaimed films, Felicity Jones had a breakout role in an episode of Doctor Who. The accomplished young actor saw a meteoric rise to the top in such movies as 2014's The Theory of Everything, and she was even nominated for an Oscar for the same film. Often impressing with her range and cross-genre appeal, Jones has starred in gripping dramas and big-budget blockbusters like 2016's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Even in a small part in Doctor Who, she gave a standout performance that offered a clue to her future success.

Laughing through tears is a skill set that Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother) masters with endearing sheepishness in the Apple TV+ comedy Shrinking, a touching experiment in blending raw sentiment with wry irony. There are echoes of Ricky Gervais‘ After Life and Walton Goggins as CBS’ The Unicorn in this story of a widowed therapist whose unyielding grief leads him to become something of a “psychological vigilante.” Working with cocreators Bill Lawrence (Scrubs) and Brett “Roy Kent” Goldstein of Ted Lasso fame, Segel plays Jimmy Laird, whose hangdog face is incapable of hiding his roiling feelings. He doesn’t mince words when urging one client (Saturday Night Live‘s Heidi Gardner) to leave her abusive husband—”or I’m done being your therapist,” he blurts with a childish pout. Later, he seemingly crosses the line between doctor and patient when he invites Sean (the fine Luke Tennie), a...

The accessible berries and mushrooms from the forest can be nutritious snacks in Harvestella, but they cannot equate to a deliciously cooked meal. While Harvestella does not contain any survival mechanics that force players to replenish their hunger to avoid starvation, eating is vital for combat and dungeon exploration. Without a full belly, the Protagonist and their comrades will not have the stamina required to complete a dungeon run or discover all the areas of a zone. Accordingly, knowing how to unlock cooking is essential for progression in Harvestella.
To unlock cooking in Harvestella, players must pay a visit to the Renovator, an Npc vendor in Lethe Village who specializes in renovating the Protagonist's Home at Bird's Eye Brae. Similar to the Smithy, the Renovator's workshop only operates between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., and visiting the shop any time outside of this 12-hour window will be futile. Robert Schwartzman is part of one of Hollywood’s great filmmaking dynasties, but when he ventured into directing himself, he discovered that the world of distribution for up-and-coming filmmakers was broken.
