If you're trying to spend your Friday night laughing your stomach sore and hanging off the edge of your seat this is the perfect movie for you! Mykel Shannon Jenkins has done it again with a seemingly flawless cast, Youn' G is a laugh out loud Dramedy that will take you on a journey through young love. The Crew of kids had me feeling like I was in high school all over again.
There were truly dynamic performances and relationships all across the board. You don't want to miss this one! Just when you think you're safe, Youn' G will drop the bottom out and you will be left with jaws on the floor! MUST WATCH!

I thought this movie was very entertaining! Very impressive by Mykel Jenkins in that he wrote and directed the film. A great film that has both the comedy and the drama all in one. This movie brought back my days of being in high school hanging out with friends and searching for love. Bryce Jenkins did an amazing job in his role and really brings his character to life. Great supporting cast that really builds up the story. Must watch movie and you will absolutely love the soundtrack. The title song is so catchy and has been stuck in my head ever since I watched this film. So grab some popcorn and enjoy!!

Mykel Shannon Jenkins and Bryce Clyde Jenkins are like the Griffeys of Acting. This father son duo is always a pleasure to watch.
It was good to see Bryce Clyde Jenkins stepped out to lead this film, he has a lot of charisma and great comedic timing.
As for the supporting cast, there is not one person that was not believable. Everyone brought it to every scene and it was a relief to have that you full energy brought back to the big screen.
Lastly, my favorite part is the soundtrack, performed by Mandi Macias, the title song is very catchy and fitting. This song has been stuck in my head since.

I genuinely loved watching Youn'g!
This film depicts how there is still light in such a dark world. It truly reaches all audiences! From high intensity to deeply heartfelt scenes, there is so much to unpack. From old to youn'g, we all can learn something trough this film. True definition of an artpiece! Great work from the director who depicts his voice through his gift!
This group, this film, truly one of a kind!
The characters, Young' G, acting brought me back to my prom days and how excited I was! A brilliant display of how we all have our own prom experience, GOOD OR BAD!
I truly appreciated my time spent watching this film and I felt the need to leave this review!

In times like these what a breth of fresh air. LOVE THE DIVERSITY IN THE CAST BIG PLUS FOR ME. I thought everyone did an amazing job but my favorite was boots. Super talented actress who wears her emotions on her sleeve . Even tbough things didn,t work out for her like i wanted i still enjoyed her performance tremendously. I love the mix of danger and comedy. I say it once i say it twice a breath of fresh air. Love this new writer/director can,t wait to see what he does next. I am usually a tough judge being that I was an actressbut this one got me. 10/10 no doubt about it. Would i reccomend it? Definitely.

Enjoyed this film. It was a great Saturday night, on the couch, popcorn in hand type show. This movie had some real fun moments. The characters throughout kept my attention and I wanted to see what happened next. I was intrigued by several of the situations depicted in the story. I got a real kick out of the character "RABBIT" popping up here and there. The film offered up some funny moments as well as a tense one now and then. It was awesome to see a serious scene with a bit of laughter sprinkled in there too. I personally could have done without the rough language but guess it was needed to help tell the tale. I like that this was a little bit of everything: comedy, drama, and more.

First thing I want to say is this movie was way better than I thought it would be. I never heard of Mometu this new streaming service and my friend told me about this movie I could find on it, so I loaded it just to watch this film and to my surprise, it was really good maybe I'm a victim of expecting it not to be but one thing for sure. I enjoyed every minute of it funny dramatic, romantic all the feels that you want when you sit down with your girl and watch a movie you know it's good when you hold your pee , so if I could say one thing about this film, it's a hold your pee film to get your snacks and settle in for two hours of great fun.
Really enjoyed this movie! The chemistry of the cast was amazing and I had a blast watching them. The younger characters reminded me so much of my high school days acting a fool with my friends. Little smart-asses who can't take anything too seriously with their entire lives ahead of them.
The comedy mixed really well with the family drama and Mykel Shannon Jenkins always brings it with his performance. Great on-screen presence! Knowing that he also wrote and directed the film makes it all the more impressive.
If you're looking for a fun, relatable coming-of-age dramedy, then look no further than YOUN'G>

Youn'G was a perfect coming-of-age dramedy for my wife and I to enjoy together. Mykel Shannon Jenkins has delivered another adventure for us to journey on with him and his wonderful cast that highlight the grittier edges of our world, while maintaining the elements of his characteristic humanity and humor. From the opening title song, you are hooked (my wife cannot stop singing the song. 😊) Bryce Clyde Jenkins is fantastic in his role playing "Xavier", perfectly capturing a young man's focused intensity towards the young woman he desires to be with without fully realizing the weight and impact of his decisions on those he loves, while navigating the rougher edges of his environment. "Danielle" is played by Mandi Macias, who is wonderful in her portrayal of a young woman navigating her own complicated path in love. The young cast playing Xavier's crew bring a perfect portrayal of that youthful time in your life where you might not fully understand just how dark and mean the world is. You should definitely put "Youn'G" on your watch list!

"Youn'G" masterfully weaves together themes of identity, family, and the pursuit of true love. The protagonist's quest for love intertwines seamlessly with his journey to uncover the truth about his parentage, leading to moments of both humor and heartache.
The cast delivers standout performances, capturing the nuances of teenage angst and the awkwardness of first love with authenticity and charm. The chemistry between the characters feels genuine, making their relationships all the more compelling to watch unfold on screen.
With its relatable characters, witty dialogue, and poignant storytelling, "Youn'G" is a refreshing addition to the coming-of-age genre. It's a heartfelt reminder that sometimes the greatest adventures and revelations can happen in the span of just a few days. Overall, "Youn'G" is a delightful and uplifting film that will leave audiences laughing, crying, and ultimately feeling inspired.

What an amazing ride, a tremendous mixture of both comedy and drama that leaves you sitting on the edge of your seat. The soundtrack is incredible, and the way it shot and cinematic experience quite wowing, and at the same my favorite character in this piece was Willie. I thought since his responsibility was the weight of the second story or the subplot, and to compete with the comedy chops of the crew. I just took an enormous amount of craft this movie doesn't miss a beat. In fact I'm gonna watch at least two more times for something to do on the weekend, you can't miss with Young G.
So sit back and relax and enjoy.

What a movie made me feel like I was back in the 80s a nice throwback to win movies were just about stories and they were simple and they were funny and then impactful. You had to watch him once just to enjoy it and the second time fully get the meaning and you didn't mind because, it's funny entertaining very well shot and the acting was very real when I'm watching a movie I don't want to think much I just want to be entertained and Man did this one deliver in that arena plus the soundtrack was off the chain really surprised because I didn't expect it Looking for to see what else comes from this filmmaker.
Youn'G is an absolute delight! This coming-of-age dramedy beautifully navigates the tumultuous journey of teenagehood, love, and self-discovery. The diverse and talented cast brings each character to life with authenticity and charm. The film not only entertains but also highlights the importance of friendship and family bonds. It's a heartwarming tale that showcases the power of resilience and the joy of embracing one's true self. Youn'G is a celebration of life's craziness, leaving audiences uplifted and inspired. The movie is a must-watch for anyone seeking a blend of humor, heart, and an ode to the beauty of diverse narratives.

Youn' G left me and my wife completely charmed as we watched the relatable journey of young love. With a super polished cast, and excellent writing there were multiple moments that left me in tears. Tears of laughter and tears of loss. I was supremely impressed with the way all the characters lives were delicately woven together, and SNACKS is my man. The scene with the police officers had me on the FLOOR! And then somehow through all the laughter, Youn' G manages to suck the air out of the room with real tension that seemingly grabs you in your seat. Mykel Jenkins is a brilliant up & coming filmmaker who NEEDS TO BE ON YOUR WATCHLIST. Perfect for a night with your family! MUST SEE!

Enjoyed every minute.
Had the opportunity to see this on the big screen and now again at home with my wife. Both times I found myself enjoying the story and pulling for Xavier (Bryce Clyde Jenkins). There are moments that bring me back to times with my friends during my senior year in high school, but then I was drawn into the mature drama going on with who we find out later is Xavier's dad (do not worry the synopsis tells us this). There are relatable bits of comedy dropped in on both sides of the story that come together well. I rated this on being a true independent low budget film. When all is said and done, they made the best out of what they were given. Hope to see a second installment of Youn'G and more of Snax and Rabbit they were definitely funny and helped break up the serious moments.

If you're looking for a great and lighthearted film to watch with friends and family - this is the film you need to put on! Through the moments of humor, heartbreak and triumph, I was left genuinely connected to each of the characters. The plot is super relatable and keeps you on the edge of your seat awaiting what will take place next. Throughout the film I learned valuable lessons about acceptance, resilience, and the true meaning of friendship - as well as ultimately finding growth and understanding amidst trials and tribulations. In addition, the acting was beautiful and I was able to see each actor truly immersed in their role. Check this one out!!

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll hold your breath... Youn'g hits it all and will make you feel all the feels! An incredible duo in Mykel Jenkins and Bryce Jenkins. A perfect mix of comedy, drama, and a love story. A perfect flick for a fun movie night.
Also, a big fan of the music in the film with a super catchy and fun main track. One that you will be singing in your head for a couple days after watching the movie!
An intriguing storyline will keep you on the edge of your seat. This movie was so well done in every aspect and it is definitely a movie that I would 10/10 recommend for people to go see!

Really enjoyed watching Youn'G. Xavier is hilarious and such a good fit for the role. Definitely found myself rooting for the kid. Jenkins' movies are some of my favourites. This movie did such a good job captivating me early on with the lightheartedness love story transitioning into some drama where the characters all grew and captivated me throughout. Some absolutely hilarious scenes in this gem. Will be watching it again soon! Loved the acting and cast this picture was put together perfectly. Great movie for a night in with the fam since there's a little bit of everything in this one. 10/10 all day long!

This is a great movie to watch with your kids. You'll recognize the teenage characters from all of your favorite coming-of-age films, but these prototypes all have twists to steer these characters away from being tropes. For the adults, Mykel Shannon Jenkins' character gives you all the twist and turns you need to be fully engaged in this classic story about a father and son overcoming obstacles to let in trust, respect, and love. It's always great to see independent filmmakers bringing diversity and inclusion to the table by telling stories centering people of color. What's even more special about this filmmaker is that his themes and characters are universal. There's always something for everyone!

When I sat down to watch this film, I had no idea what to expect. I thought I was going to watch a teenage love story how pleasantly surprised was I that this was far more than just that not only was it something for the younger audience but there was also a lot for the more adult audience, great mix of both young Energy and strong dramatics, a romantic when it comes to film so this one is right up my alley . Saw it the first time by myself and the second time with my son enjoyed it both times. I would say I liked the most about it was even though it's an independent film it's still felt very high-quality.
