The Minister of Education in Malaysia, Maszlee Malik, who had watched the film, personally praised Jyothika and the film. He hoped that local teachers would be inspired by the movie and play a similar role in implementing changes to the national education system.
The Hindi dubbed version titled "Madam Geeta Rani" was released on YouTube on 5 September 2020 and garnered more than 180 million views within nine months.
