Marmadesam (Vidaathu Karuppu) is a great serial which has wonderful technical aspects. The serial passes with suspences and twists in every episode. Its great entertainment.

Vanakkam, Vidathu Karuppu is my most favourite Tamil serial of all time. Kudos to all those involved in this project.

I remember in my childhood waiting every week to see new episodes and here i am back to my childhood watching Marmadesam. This has an awesome story what today's Tamil serials are lacking. Every episode is filled with emotions, fun and other things that keep you on the edge of your seat. 10/10 would recommend.

Its marvelous tamil language thriller serious of 90's . Even now its par than the all other current age high budget thriller series. All the cast crew are unique in thier acting. The universal thing like belief of God and judgment day will make this series a hit world wide. I request the producers to bring out English subtitles for this series soon.

I cherish each and every episode of this epic Tamil serial. Taking me to my childhood days!

Well this series is enigmatic, intriguing with each character carefully crafted and directed to perfection.sound engineering and camera work is too notch.

One of the my favourite and best thriller series in 90's. Every Wednesday , when clock strikes 9pm , all family members will assemble in front of TV.

Each and every episode is suspenseful,creates curiosity , best thriller. Each characters are unique . When I do something wrong, my mom used to threaten me that "karuppu will punish you".😁

I will say 90's get scared to do wrong things in childhood when they hear "vidadhu karuppu" 😂😂 Do watch it guys.. I love it more than stranger things, the dark.. all other series😊😊

To the 80 and 90's generation Marmadesam especially Vidaathu Karuppu is a trail blazer. Detailing in every craft can be seen right through this series be it in casting, costumes, lighting, cinematography, racy story telling, plot progression through juxtaposing the past and the present and even upping the ante by having a female lead take on the belief system of an entire village. The creatives have showed the parallel quest of two characters -a. Reena the FL (a writer first besides being a doc) thirsting to debunk the legend of 'Karuppu' as a myth and also wanting to prove that it is a convenient fictional narrative used by some random blood thirsty man b. Nanda, another senior doc who inadvertently stumbles upon the mystery of Karuppu and some documented evidences that prop this theory of Karuppu. A systemic rational discussion is needed to take on mythological tales like Karuppu as it is part of the cultural narrative of rural Tamilnadu and writer Indra soundar Rajan (whose Vittu vidu Karuppa inspired this series) along with Director Naaga and team have therefore dealt with it in a cerebral yet entertaining manner. Thankyou Kavithalaya for the rerun and enabling us to relive the thrills and the buzz it created back then. In short Vidathu Karuppu is like one big vintage black and white photo that showcases the tone and tenor of Thottakaaramangalam to the T.

Marmadesam...vidathu Karuppu is one of the best Thrilling series..I highly recommend every one should watch it...and #kavithalaya add subtitles in English...

Every episode consists of 2 parts - "Andru" (Past) and "Indru" (Now) where events in the past keeps you guessing the current events happening in the village. Technically brilliant cinematography that keeps you in awe. The beauty of the series lies in the reasoning behind the mysteries of village. While Reena tries to disprove the existence of "Karuppusamy" through logical reasoning, her mentor believes in the same as an Act of God. The ending justifies both the factions of audience through its masterpiece narration. A worthy watch on YouTube!!!

Good series. Everybody acted well in the movie. BGM in the series was excellent. The series was so interesting and thrilling. The series somewhat bored and lagged at some episodes. Good series.

My favourite series from childhood. I really enjoy the thriller and mystery genre of this series. Each episode tells the story in 2 parts: past and present. The characterization of all characters are very good especially the antagonist

Vidathu Karuppu is one of the best Thriller Drama in 90's, Horror Genere Fans must watch this Drama..

I would recommend for everyone and it's considered as one of the best TV series that is why it remains a cult series.

One of the best thriller for 90's kids and it was in their part of life as sweet memories....

I always wonder how the script is made and executed around 20 years ago. Screenplay was amazing which displays a fresh and realistic view while watching every time till date. Especially every episode contains both past and present incident which was rarely a new idea implemented during the 90's itself; I wish everyone including the international film Makers to watch this series and encourage it beyond time, and wish it has to be recognized well widely today; this Series is still a masterpiece and a challenging one to the Indian TV Series creators...the major plus point was Cinematography, Original score and Violence...

Started watching with family two days back and completed entire season(vidadhu karuppu) in three days.

Watching this serial for the first time. OMG wonderful work by the team. Perfect thriller serial. Watched 24 episodes in a night.
