The football scenes do not even inspire you to play football....When I saw bhag Milkha bhaag, I wanted to run for Olympics...even gully players play better football...if you show such pathetic way, no one will be interested to watch it...a highly disappointed movie

The storyline was great but direction and music was sub par. KK Menon, Manjot Singh, Shashank Arora did great but the side actors and fillers were very bad. Overall it seemed production and direction lacked effort

Everything about the movie except the thread of a NE player facing discrimination in the mainland is wrong .
Acting of main character : 0/10
Football skills ( for movies ) 0/10
Acting of Shashank & Kay Kay : 6/10 ( they delivered what needed )
Selection of location : 0/100 ( UP !!! Why ???? Why not Kerala , Goa or any other state which has something to do with football)
Football scenes ( most imp for a sport movie) 0/100
Conveyed the message properly ? Heck No

Except for KK Menon I don't think the acting in the movie is good at all!
The football display specially, if any football person is too see, will literally cry to death
But the concept of the movie and the storyline based on true north- east people in North India is definitely making a really strong point and a learning experience for everyone who need to accept and learn in bringing about a positive and much required change.
Kudos to the story writers!
Cheers

Was this a joke, that Lukram kid has any other facial expression, the script for real, what am I missing here???
Beyond terrible, beyond BORING, the acting is atrocious, seriously no redeeming qualities whatsoever about this film.
Not even a faint notion of the game neither.
Just terrible.

What worked:
- clever concept; the movie takes a subject of football which is rare in Hindi movie industry, and it is done beautifully considering the available resources. The screenplay is okay and the narrative is watchable.
- KK Menon stole the show unanimously with his great performance as usual
- the movie isn't well choreographed especially the football games and training. It felt so superficial and badly captured. The players looked robotic and mundane, maybe camera conscious. They failed to convey the authenticity. The cast of Manipal guy, it seemed to me, felt unfit and appeared as if he hasn't played football before or at least professionally.
- screenplay; it's okay but could have been better, engaging and fun.

The film really hammered a home in my heart. It was carried by beautiful performance by actors. That was really touching ... It's creatively and imaginatively told!

Maybe the acting is average. But the way realism has been shown is really commendable. Kudos Netflix. Keep exposing the dark side of India which is full of racism, spirituality, nonsense and whatnot. North East is majorly ignored or ridiculed in rest of India, it should be stopped at any cost. Do not go by the ratings, they are much below the actual liking. The movie is good that deserves a 7+ rating but these goons of BJP will definitely not like it.

Direction: Poor
Acting : All experienced actors did great except the new-comers.
Story: Good
Apart from all these, I would like to add that in this movie Dialogue delivery is very very bad.
Ending also not satisfactory, not promising.

Extremely low budget movie with decent cast and storyline, but lacks punches and strong moments... (on a lighter note, I think the budget for this movie was less than a 2 bed room apt cost in Lucknow)

Firstly, the directors got the idea wrong that NorthEasterners are discriminated in Football. To this date, they have one of the most fit and skill full players on a football ground. Coming to the movie, I'd rather opt for Race 3 which had better direction. The movie revolves around football, the least they could do is hire better football playing individuals rather than amateurs. I have seen better short films by my friends which have better direction and dialogue delivery. The main lead, Lukram was acting as if he had a gun pointed on his head and looked constipated for the whole length of the movie. Was expecting the movie to be interesting with quality actors such as Manjot Singh and Kay Kay Menon, but all was in vain. If you have 2 hours to spare and you want to do something; Read a book, go for a job, flirt with a girl, but, don't watch this garbage.

Cast is so poorly chosen. 3 stars for KK Menon , Manjot and Akash.
Story Message is good but very poor casting and direction.
Better read the plot in 5 minutes.
A superb film, Shubham Singh! I thoroughly appreciated the poignant message, the sensitive and heart-warming story, the sharp direction, the wonderful acting especially by 'LUKRAM', and Kay Kay Menon. All in all a fab package. Congratulations!!

KK Menon can do any role and make any movie look good! And so does the budding star Manjot Singh.
Please DO NOT want this movie if you are expecting football actions or are mad about the sport. It may disappoint you.
The movie was going low but the last scene averaged the overall score. Some actors can really control the scenarios. KK menon is one of them.

Though the film has some good actors, acting by everyone in this movie is terrible.

The review on 2nd Feb calling it a fantastic movie is obviously by the crew member and not an honest review.
Utter waste of time, extremely poor casting.
The message in the story is good, dialogues and acting have a lot of room for improvement. Very poorly directed.
