Cocktail Moms

1 review

Very poor Bluebird video

There was a time when Paul Chaplin's Bluebird label was cranking out DVDs by the bushel basket, reminsicent of the glory days circa 1986 of the Go-Go boys (Menachem Golan/Yoram Globus) at Cannon Films in what we comically call Hollywood's "mainstream" industry. So "Cocktail Moms" was just another title rightfully lost in the shuffle, credited to the Brit label's Chatsworth director "Marc Twain", who couldn't direct his way out of a paper bag.

So going down to defeat is some top talent, including Michelle Lay and Diana Doll, improvising older/younger scenes that go nowhere. Most predictable element is the presence of Dane Cross opposite Michelle, he being the all-time champ in the MILF-chaser genre that arose in the wake of Shannon Elizabeth's groundbreaking role a decade earlier in the mainstream's "American Pie".

Also lost here is the elegant India Summer, going through the motions in her familiar stance (that reached its apotheosis when she started in the porn-parody of "The Graduate") opposite Kris Slater, who is credited as "Chris Slater" for his effort.
