Not all the jokes land, but the majority do. For a sketch comedy show I think that's pretty damn good. I didn't think I was looking for a black nerdy sketch comedy show, but I am pleasantly surprised.
Solid content for any Millennials really.

I can actually say I thoroughly enjoyed this show. Everyone did a great job. I look forward to the next season.
I enjoyed the Astronomy Club.
Yes...some of the sketches we've seen before on other sketch shows, but these were timely and funny.
So many black and/or progressive shows are given super low ratings from trolling groups.
That said, this deserves a solid "8". It's funny and consistent. I love sketch comedy and this is better than most SNL sketches. The production value is great and lots of different topics. Some sketches reference black pop culture but also can be found funny by anyone.

I haven't seen too many shows that are consistently funny, but this show steps up to the plate on that. This is my kind of comedy, it doesn't come across as trying to be PC, but reaches across that PC line and dangles it toes over the edge and is shameless about it; love it! I only wish the episodes went for longer, nevertheless, 9/10 from me.

Corny doesn't begin to describe. Most skits have no type of context just corny joke after corny joke. So yeah...

I happened to stumble upon this and I'm so glad I did. These people are hilarious I hope there is a lot more to come! Definitely recommend it to anyone with a sense of humor no matter your background.
There are a few funny skits but most of them are very very disrespectful towards black americans. I just don't understand why entertainment geard towards black americans is always so negative & toxic. I'm really getting disgusted with Hollywood using slavery as punchlines & only focusing on negative subgroups & special snowflakes in black american communities. These jokes are getting old.

Just like in living color back in the day, astronomy club is breathing fresh air into black comedy. I hope we'll see more seasons.
I agree with the review that rated it 10 but thinks it's an 8. Trolls find it very fun to come in and rate black things low. In a perfect world, this would be an 8. I have seen some of the FUNNIEST sketches in my life on this show and rewatched a bunch! It only falls short when a great premise isn't executed as well as it could be. But all the ideas are gold!!
I burned right through this series and each episode just got funnier. What a cool unique voice. And LAUGH OUT LOUD funny. All of the actors were new to me but consistent incredible talent. So much fun.

As an all-black comedy troupe that puts white viewers in our place while still making us feel welcome, Astronomy Club delivers more hits than misses - and this is coming from a viewer that doesn't care for sketch comedy. I can't wait to see more of their work!

I cought the trailer for this while browsing and didn't think it was going to be anything special. Like maybe an 5 out of 10 rating. I've now watched episode after episode and I can't believe how HILARIOUS this is!!! BRILLIANT!!!
This show is absolutely brilliant. I love how it incorporates 'tribal knowledge' and -ism's specific to the black American community and turns it into culturally relevant comedic content. For example, the idea that 'black don't crack' or the uproarious Robin Hood skit where they touch on the come-up and rich blacks not giving back to their hood. I realize some of these issues sound heavy, but the show manages to poke fun and make light. The actors are hilarious and have great timing. I have to pause each episode from laughing so hard. This show is something ALL people can enjoy. Please tune in, you will not regret it. They have done something very special here and it deserves attention.
Get ready for a great show! It's a skit show that focuses on black issues that happened in America, only funny! Reminds me of SNL, original Johnny Carson, and a weird first date!
