I've started watching Zero because of plot summary when I read something about invisible man. I've expected growing superhero kind of show. I was pleasantly surprised.

Zero is more of a drama series about poor neighbourhood struggling with challenges presented by the society or more precise rich society. Bonds of community, family and finally friendship are involved in this battle which makes it a little bit emotional.

Anyway, if you think that Zero is only some fantasy superhero show, you should know that it is much more.

Enjoyable and diverse superhero drama with some promising rising actors.

Not a typical superhero show, but worth a look for its take on an unrepresented (invisible) people (immigrants in Italy). It's closer to Misfits than Luke Cage, and would have profited from writers from both those shows for plot, humour and character - but it has good bones and I look forward to seeing where this goes in (hopefully) season 2.

The plot is meh and the acting is bah BUT finally something different.

I understand that the writers wanted to add twists and turns. That is OK, until it does not fit.

This show has soo much potential, however, even teenagers will not roll like this. How did they move from mortal enemies to "I trust you with my life" friends? I cannot really coitize this show without spoilers so...

The only reason that I gave it a 6, is because i have seen worse series that did not get anything done in their 1st season.

Watch this only when you have your analyzing and thinking ability down. This is more like a children show if not for some nigh explicit parts.

I thought it's the poor English overvoice, but when I listened to the original Italian vesion, it is a mediocre script. Wasn't expecting much of the acting as long as the script is solid. But, both are flimsy.

I am not sure what is worse in this show... the acting or the plot. If you are hoping to find a hero-becoming story you will be heavily disappointed. It's just a confusing story about some kids and their unrealistic love for the ghetto they grew up. Also don't expect some character development with this kids as there is none. I will really like to have the writers explain the role of that football player kid.

There is nothing bother me than work can be good but the writers didnt use. It full potentiels such a big disappointment the foundation of the characters is terribly bad the introduction of main characters. And the. Relation between them is based on a fast event dosent Justifies thier gathering finally if you dont care abou the weak writing probably gonna like it but if you are looking for a really good show you better look someplace else.

Although the introduction to the main characters has been built fast and without context, what is nice from the series is that it focus on common and real problem of migrants in Milan.

I would advice this to those who are not expecting the classic hollywood super hero stuff.

Nothing happens... and not in a good way.

Boring.

A series full of flaws, plot holes, problems almost incomprehensible for how macroscopic they are. A workmanship probably made difficult by the pandemic outbreak, but the lack of content across the board, from direction to script to acting, is frankly unbelievable. But then why only "5" as a grade? As an Italian, I think this is a botched experiment but nonetheless brave in its attempt to tell a story of second-gen Italians, in the Milanese suburbs, in a world where superpowers exist. Three macro-topics that before Zero, but also after unfortunately, have hardly been addressed in Italian audiovisuals. A mention must also go to the finale, which nonetheless intrigues and leaves a minimum of regret for a second season that we will never see (although, it must be said, it is also only fair).

Don't expect this siries focus more on superpower about invisible. The hero such a loser guy. Boring.

Nice idea and good plot, but nothing special, boring so far, few good scenes. The actors are really weird, didn't really like the way how the performed in original language.

Didn't like the idea that a few guys played to be superheroes.

This show was not what I expected. It is a great, diverse drama about the poor against the rich with a number of interesting, fleshed out characters. I would highly recommend watching in Italian with subtitles to really get the full feel for the show.

The acting in some parts were just terrible. I think the worst part is even though it's translated into English, the sub title doesn't fit with what's being said ON TOP OF the terrible acting. Don't get me wrong, storyline was decent, characters were good but I found myself laughing when it was obviously a serious moment and rolling my eyes at their facial expressions that didn't go with the scene nor the dialogue. Idk if WHO is giving this high ratings but AGAIN, EYE ROLL! Not a bad watch, just a bad execution of the storyline at some parts.

The dialogue is missing so much understanding when it comes to the conversations. Not to add the characters voice is not fitting the people we see. It looks really bad, and sad. The Idea of the show is genius. Honestly. It's just a lot of hit and miss areas. I not going to say this is is a good show or a bad show. What I will say is. It was made with all the right intentions. I see were the story is coming from. Like I said, " Just a little ruff around the edges.

I love this show. From the soundtrack to the acting. If you dont you never experienced this type of life. I have from everything except interracial dating.

The first 2/3 episodes was like mehh but then it went to meh/great to excellent i need to know more i want to see what is gonna happend in season 2.

And it does. The story is well written so the whole serie feels real and superpower is only a tool to handle the situation that made it come true. I do not get the hate towards this beauty. I must confess, this is the first Italian show that I could finish watching, but it is great. Give a try, decide for yourself.

It looks like Italy is waking up to its multicultural make-up finally.

First we had in December the wonderful "La Vita D'avanti a se" with Sophia Loren, and now this absolute gem, ZERO, the first ever Italian film or series centered around the lives of Black youth.

Bravo Netflix for unearthing this gem, and the soundtrack is just brilliant - I have bought most of the songs.

We are used to multicultural films in France, many of which have won our Cesars, so no wonder ZERO is at 7.5 in France, but the current 5.6 rating on IDMB is a bad reflection on IDMB's audience rather than on this series.

Inventive, Positive, Difficult at times, Imaginative, Realistic while light, this was a wonderful series which our entire household gobbled up in one night.

Italy - Keep waking up, we love it !

One of the very few Italian productions that I've loved recently. Great plot, beautiful actors, diverse. Loved it!

People from all around the globe, you have to know that this series is located in Milan (Italy) and it's about friendship, the poor against the rich and also about a protagonist with inner struggles. You can't expect a series with a super-idealized hero, dialogues always super theatrical and super-action etc. Etc. The first season for me it's an intro, a well created intro, and seen what i've seen, I recommend it for the contest and good acting and for a story made of strong relationships. I expect surely more in the future...

This show has opened my eyes to other cultural areas of Italy. The "barrios" is a place that has been overlooked in the mainstream media and I am,glad this show brought the beautiful blends of culture to light. It ahow how gentrification is a universal thing. Illustrating cultural ancestral history with supernatural /super hero themes was excellent! Looking forward to season 2!

I really like the realistic look showing an ordinary teenager, who delivers pizza, dreams of being a comic book artist, and is working on his own comic book at the moment, but discovers he has the power of invisibility.

The series is pretty good, the main lead is pretty likable, plays it very relatable. I hope the series gets better has goes on, I only watched two episodes so far. But I liked what I see at the moment.

Love the show, finished in a day. Amazing camera work and exciting plot! Can't wait for season two.
