Europa

This is an exhausting film and that's a compliment. Europa makes you experience directly what it means to immigrate illegally and this is also an accusation to immigration policies. It should be shown to politicians to raise awareness. Europa it's also a thriller too. The premise is so simple but it's executed in such a fantastic way to the point it's enough to keep the viewer both informed of its important message and invested throughout despite a heavy reliance on minimalism. We follow Kamal on his journey from the start of this film until the end and it wouldn't have been as effective if it weren't for the brilliant performance by Adam Ali in the lead role. Directors had a plan in mind and it executed it very well. It reminded me Saul's son, with a similar approach it makes you feel what it's fear, way more than in horror movies.
