This so reminds me of a show that would have aired on cable access TV in Austin in the early '90s. (Yes, I know it's from 2007.) Also shares some production vibes of early America's Most Wanted if you took out the re-enactments.
Very bad in the best possible way. Super low budget and unproduced. It's even better when they're wrong because they have to try and explain what went wrong. It's fantastic!
Voodoo Jackie from New Orleans is nuts and high entertainment. She's my favorite contestant. Think I'll look her up next time I visit Nola. Most of them shine in their own ways. They are all characters.
If you assume a few of them aren't being fed information off screen at each challenge, some of them get a lot right but that's entirely beside the point for me. So glad I happened upon it. I'm just disappointed that there's only one season.
FYI- There's one semifinal show missing and the editing around the original commercial breaks is really bad in the later episodes. I feel like I'm missing out on some quality cheesiness.
