Rove had stopped being funny ten years ago. This is all the evidence you need.

Rove McManus enjoyed great success with Rove Live throughout the 2000's. He still pops up in the media with appearances in various TV shows, radio stations, and red carpet events. He also has his own production company Roving Enterprises.

He attempted to make a return to TV with Saturday Night Rove. Nobody cared and nobody showed much interest as the show flopped and later unceremoniously received the axe.

Sucks for Rove, but he'll dust himself off and continue his media career even though he's not as funny and not as popular anymore.
