The film is set during the late summer yet was photographed during all four seasons. Filming took place on weekends to accommodate the filmmakers full time schedules.
With the change of the seasons the crew had to fight back storms that rolled through the southern end of the Adirondacks. Heavy rains delayed night shooting and humid temperatures made day shooting uncomfortable.
The crew relied on a mixture of natural and artificial light and were at times at the mercy of the sun and clouds.
Jesse Lawrence's character falls down some steps earlier on in the film requiring several takes to land correctly. Jesse performed his own stunt using a filled air mattress as a landing pad.
