Mumbai, Feb 13 (Ians) Bollywood actor Ishaan Khatter, who is known for his work in films such as ‘Beyond the Clouds’, ‘Dhadak’ and ‘Khaali Peeli’, attended his first Comic Con in Mumbai recently, and the actor has been hit with the sudden realisation about what all he has been missing all these years.

The recently-held comic book convention was a star-studded event with B-town celebs such as Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Ishaan and his ‘Phone Bhoot’ co-actor Siddhant Chaturvedi gracing the event along with stand-up artistes Rohan Joshi and Sahil Shah.

Talking about the event, Ishaan said, “This is my first Comic Con, and this looks like the best party that I have been missing all these years. It looks so cool and I am very happy to be here. It looks so packed and vibrant and so much fun, I just want to hop across to all of this chaos...

During their film promotion in the Capital, both Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday shared some BTS moments. Mumbai, Oct 9 (Ians) The Ishaan Khatter-Ananya Pandey action drama, Khaali Peeli, recently launched on Ott, and the makers have now decided to release the film theatrically after cinemas open on October 15.

This was confirmed by trade analyst Komal Nahta on Friday. Nahta tweeted that the Hindi film "Khaali Peeli" and the Tamil film "Ka Pae Ranasingam" would released in theatres on October 16.

"Breaking news: KhaaliPeeli and Tamil KaaPaeRanasingam to be released theatrically on Friday, 16th October. While most multiplex chains have responded favourably to Zee Studios' move, a couple of them which are sitting on the fence, are also expected to come around," Nahta wrote on the microblogging site.

Ghibran's "Ka Pae Ranasingam" stars Vijay Sethupati and Aishwarya Rajesh. The Tamil film opened on October 2, while dubbed versions in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages released on October 9.

"Khaali Peeli" as well as "Ka Pae Ranasingam" were released on Ott in a pay-per-view strategy.

The Government of India has announced that cinemas will be allowed to reopen across the country starting October 15, and fans are overjoyed. The decision has been hailed by the film fraternity, too, who are now waiting for all the state governments to give a green signal.

Theatres had been shut ever since lockdown was imposed in March, to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus. On Wednesday, the Union Home Ministry announced it was allowing cinemas, theatres and multiplexes to reopen with 50 per cent seating capacity from October 15.

Filmmaker Maqbool Khan, who directs the upcoming Ishaan Khatter-Ananya Panday starrer Khaali Peeli, says it was veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan who inspired him to enter the world of films.

"I am a die hard fan of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. I grew up watching his movies. In my childhood days, I used to imitate his style a lot. Basically, he inserted a 'filmy' keeda in me. He is a huge inspiration to me. His movies always kept me at the edge of my seat and ignited a spark in me to pursue career in film industry," Khan tole Ians.

Before becoming a full-fedged director, Maqbool used to assist filmmaker Anubhav Sinha. He learned everything about films on the sets.

"I come from a small town in Rajasthan. When I came to Bombay, I assisted Anubhav Sinha sir for 10 years. I learnt everything about movies on the sets. I never visited any film institute.

The full length trailer of upcoming Bollywood movie Khaali Peeli has been released online. It debuts on digital platform Zee Plex on October 2 and features newbies Ananya Panday and Ishaan Khatter in main roles with Jaideep Ahlawat playing the antagonist.

New Delhi, Sep 6 (Ians) Ishaan Khatter is constantly trying to evolve as an actor and says that his aspiration with every character is to be able to give himself completely to it.

Ishaan made his acting debut with Iranian film director Majidi Majid's film "Beyond The Clouds". His Bollywood debut was "Dhadak", the Hindi remake of the popular Marathi film "Sairat". Recently, he shared screen space with Tabu in Mira Nair's BBC miniseries "A Suitable Boy", based on Vikram Seth's acclaimed novel of the same name.
